ASL performances on July 25 and August 8 only.
Dracula, the infamous vampire who cannot die and who subsists
on the blood of hapless victims, will stalk the Showboat this
summer with eerie allure (and a bit of wry humor). Mystery and
suspense are the backbone of Bram Stoker's famed novel, brought
back to the stage once again by Charles Nolte.
Join us for a lively evening of hissing the villain, cheering the hero, and
escaping the ordinary in the most appropriate of settings: a Victorian
jewelbox theatre. As always, olios will be interspersed throughout the
melodrama to amuse, entertain, and tickle your fancy. These delightfully
choreographed interludes are a time-honored tradition of the Showboat.
Go back in time with us as you experience a whimsical summer evening aboard
our turn-of-this-century Showboat. By itself, or coupled with a picnic,
cruise, or dinner in the riverfront district, your Minnesota Centennial
Showboat evening will be unforgettable!
Dracula will open in June 2003 and run through August on a schedule to be
announced. *ASL Interpreted Performances will be on July 25 and August 8.
