BAT BOY THE MUSICAL
WHAT:
Fred Moore Middle School Center for the Arts (FMMS) is proud to presents the Off-Broadway and London hit musical comedy Bat Boy.. The production is directed by Jefferson Fietek with musical direction by Benjamin Lacina. Costumes are designed by Deb Murphy with lighting design by Stirling Callander. The set is designed by Philip Hoksand the choreography is by Anna Carol.
SUMMARY:
Based on a story in The Weekly World News, BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL is a musical comedy/horror show about a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia. For lack of a better solution, the local sheriff brings Bat Boy to the home of the town veterinarian, Dr. Parker, where he is eventually accepted as a member of the family and taught to act like a “normal” boy by the veterinarian’s wife, Meredith, and teenage daughter, Shelley. Bat Boy is happy with his new life, but when he naively tries to fit in with the narrow-minded people of Hope Falls, they turn on him, prodded by the machinations of Dr. Parker, who secretly despises Bat Boy.
COSTUME CONTEST:
We open on Halloween night for a reason! Wear your Halloween costume and be a part of the spooky-fun of Bat Boy!! We will be having a costume contest every performance of the show, so wear your Halloween costumes\ and we will be voting for best adult costume and best youth costume at each performance. Prizes for the winners!
